We begin by placing this image in the context of the entirety of the Suit of Batons, focusing the mantra HE WILLS on the region of the solar plexus. The reader is then encouraged to move the first part of the Inner Radiance Sequence, beginning with the mantra “In purest outpoured light radiates the Godhead of the world”, and then working through the chakras from root to crown in relation to the seven Healing Miracles and the seven I AM statements.
We then bring the Three of Batons into relation with the 4th Letter of the Divine Alphabet: Dalet; the Fourth Arcanum: The Emperor; and the quality of “Hermeticism” or “Obedience.” This finds its radiation in the Tree of Life between the sephira on the right side of the head (Light) and the left side of the head (Warmth). Those who know the Grail Knight’s Practice can then perform the 4th part: the healing of the relationship to the entire surrounding sheath, Paradise—nourishment from the force of seeds; “Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread.”
The Apocalypse readings for the Three of Batons come from Chapter 19:14-16:
And the armies who were in heaven followed him on white horses, clothed in bright, clean, fine linen. And from his mouth comes forth a sharp sword, so that with it he might strike the gentiles; and he will shepherd them with a rod of iron; and he treads the winepress of the wine of the vehemence of God the Almighty’s ire. And on the robe and on his thigh he has a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
And I saw one angel who stood in the sun, and he cried out in a loud voice, saying to all the birds flying in mid-heaven, “Come, gather to the great supper of God, so that you meat eat fleshes of kings, and fleshes of chiliarchs, and fleshes of the mighty, and fleshes of horses and of those sitting upon them, and fleshes of everyone, both freemen and slaves, both small and great.”
